Projects can now be marked with SEND specific provisions.
There are two categories that you are able to mark against your projects:
SEND - Universal Provision
Universal provision means that customers with all capabilities will be able to attend a session unless further options are selected within the SEND Provision dropdown.
If no further provisions are set within the SEND Provision dropdown, the booking site will display the following:
"SEND - Universal Provision. This event is available for participants of all capabilities. Support can be offered for participants with additional needs."
If provisions are selected within the dropdown, the following will display on the booking site with the provisions bullet-pointed below:
"SEND - Universal Provision. This event is available for participants of all capabilities. Support can be offered for participants with additional needs in the following categories:..."
SEND - Specific Provision
Specific provision means that the project is catered specifically for participants with additional needs.
If no further provisions are set within the SEND Provision dropdown, the following text will display on the booking site:
"SEND - Specific Provision. This event is catered specifically for participants with additional needs."
If provisions are selected within the dropdown, the booking site will display the following with the selected provisions listed after:
"SEND - Specific Provision. This event is catered specifically for participants with additional needs in the following categories:..."
Switching on SEND Friendly Bookings
To create projects that have SEND Friendly provision, you may need to turn this on within the Display Settings. To do this go to Settings > Display > Bookings > Project Details and click the tick boxes to show the SEND Friendly option. If necessary, you can also make this a required field. Then press Save.
Next, navigate to the Booking Site tab within your project to see the SEND Friendly dropdown.
Select between SEND - Universal Provision or SEND - Specific Provision.
You will then see an additional multi-select dropdown to select the provisions the project can support.
Once you have selected the provisions, press save for the details to display on the Booking Site.
Searching for SEND Friendly
Your customers will be able to search for events with SEND Friendly provisions marked against them by using the Search Filters on the Event Search page.
When any of the provisions in the dropdown are selected, projects with the matching SEND provision will be filtered upon clicking search.
SEND within Participant Profiles
Within the Customer Profiles, there is now the option to select "Yes" or "No" for Special Educational Needs (SEND) as a separate dropdown to the Special Educational Needs Information.
To switch this on, go to Settings > Display > Customers > Participant Profile Fields. Here, select the "Show" tickbox in the row for Special Educational Needs (SEND). This may also be selected as required if necessary.
Once this is turned on, it will be visible within the Participant's profile.
